MCA (MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION)


The objective of this programme is to meet the manpower requirement of the fast developing software industry and that of the institutions of higher learning for capable teachers. MCA is a Post graduate degree course which is of 3 year long duration. MCA course is offered to students in most of the Universities and colleges in India. The students who want to pursue a career in the software field can take up MCA course after completing graduation. The MCA course offers excellent job opportunity for talented students in not only the software companies but in today's time; any company because systems have become computerized to increase the output in limited time duration.

ELIGIBILITY CRITARIA FOR MCA

    1. The students who wish to join an MCA course is required to have a Bachelors degree in Computer science, information Science, IT etc from a recognized university. The candidates who pose a PGDCA from a reputed university or its equivalent course are also eligible for MCA.
    2. As per the norms of PROUDSHALA , a preliminary test of general caliber has to be cleared and subsequently a session of counseling will be there. It is important to obtain minimum 60% marks in all. Relaxations are always there in genuine cases.
    3. The students who are applying for MCA must also have studied mathematics as a main subject in 10+2 level are only eligible. But some university offers students who haven't studied math's to join the course if they are willing to do an additional subject in the 1st semester of MCA.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION IN M.C.A. EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE YEAR 2015


Admission is open to the Indian Nationals who have passed/appearing in the qualifying examination from any institution located in U P or elsewhere in India whose parents (Father or Mother Only) are domiciles of U.P. or whichever state it is and they have passed/appearing in the qualifying examination from an Institution located in India. The reservation policy as prescribed will be different from state to state as per the Government policies for admissions. The candidates shall have to provide evidence of fulfilling the eligibility criteria as given herein at the time of document verification.

As per the Govt. Policies of the year 2015, for admission to first year of MCA the candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum three years duration from any recognized University of India as defined by UGC with Mathematics at 10+2 level and obtained minimum 55% (50% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in the qualifying examination without grace.
